Tranquil Christmas market on the Messer-Platz square

This year the Bad Soden based family concern Messer is once again organising a special Christmas market on the Messer-Platz square : on November 28th and 29th, from 4 pm to 9 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase handicrafts, jewellery, home accessories, fashionwear and much more. The historic setting at Bad Soden’s railway station is the perfect place to linger for a while and try the different culinary specialities on offer while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. As in previous years, the proceeds from Messer’s Christmas market stalls will be donated to Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V., a Frankfurt-based organisation that helps children with cancer.

At the 4 pm opening of the Christmas market on Wednesday 28 November 2018, children from the Max Baginski, Sankt Katharina and Am Hübenbusch daycare centres will decorate three Christmas trees with decorations that they have made themselves. At 5:30 pm, Christmas carols sung in the glow of the festive lights by the TheoChor school choir (from local primary school “Theodor-Heuss-Grundschule”) will round off the tranquil atmosphere.

There will be a diverse range of booths on the Messer-Platz square, including from Bücherstube Gundi Gaab, a local bookstore, the Flirt Akzente gift shop, confectioners Genusskontor Bad Soden, the Blooming Italy boutique, JS Silk Fashion, my Shiny Shop, Bad Soden Town Council and the Slovenian Cultural Association. Messer employees will be selling bratwurst sausages on the Messer-Platz square as well as mulled wine, juices, sparkling wine and cakes in Bad Soden’s historic station building – all for a good cause.
