Messer continues to grow in China

Messer, the largest owner-managed industrial gas specialist worldwide, continues to drive its development in . In the Paojiang industrial zone located in Shaoxing in province, the company is building a new air separation plant to produce around 520 tons per day of air gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and argon, and a filling plant for gases in cylinders. Each month it will be possible to fill up to 100,000 cylinders with industrial gases there. The plants are scheduled to be placed in service in the second half of 2014.

It was only back in May 2013 that Zhangjiagang Messer commissioned its second air separation plant in the Zhangjiagang Yangzi chemical industrial park in province. This year a specialty gases plant will also be constructed in . “These new production locations will enable us to supply our customers in the region with gases even more reliably and quickly,” explains Werner Hickel, Managing Director of Messer in China.
