RhineCleanUp 2020: Messer tackles it

Industrial gases specialist supports voluntary actions by employees

This year, Messer, the largest family-run industrial gas specialist worldwide with its headquarters in Krefeld, Germany, is once again supporting the RhineCleanUp. Environmental and climate protection are firmly anchored in Messer's values, but also in its corporate strategy: the industrial production of gases from the air, the recovery of CO2 from the exhaust air of industrial plants and the filling of gases into cylinders requires only electrical energy. Technologies that make production processes in companies using gases more environmentally friendly or enable efficient recycling are developed by Messer in Krefeld for the global market. As with the RhineCleanUp, the company is also directly involved in environmental protection and encourages its employees to take part in voluntary campaigns.

Messer organized this campaign for the first time in 2018 in collaboration with the city of Krefeld. Since then, the industrial gases specialist has been calling on its employees to support the campaign every year. On September 12, 2020, numerous employees and their families will once again join the RhineCleanUp on the Hohenbudberg bank of the Rhine in Krefeld, Germany.
