Messer: Gases with cost-cutting potential

Industrial gases specialist at the virtual EuroBLECH

For the EuroBLECH Digital Innovation Summit 2020 trade fair, Messer quickly developed a virtual concept. From October 27 - 30, 2020, the largest family-run industrial gases specialist worldwide will present its products and services there using information, videos and photos. Experts from Messer will also be available for online meetings on the EuroBLECH platform.

Through the needs-based selection of shielding gases and supply formats along with optimal gas supply technology, overall production costs can be measurably reduced. Messer’s ternary mixtures offer significant savings potential in many applications. “Shielding gas has a major impact on quality and costs,” says Bernt Hildebrandt, Head of Welding and Cutting at Messer. “Selection of the appropriate gas mixture is just as important as the right combination of process parameters. On the virtual trade fair stand, we will use practical examples to demonstrate how to reduce rework and welding time, in order to cut costs while improving process quality.” For the virtual trade fair presence, Messer produced new videos that clearly explain products and technologies. Moreover, company experts will be available to meet with customers individually. The Messer presence is already online, so visitors can schedule meetings with contacts effective immediately. The meetings will be held online on a secure platform of the trade fair operator. As with conventional trade fairs, visitors will have the opportunity to discuss concrete applications confidentially.

Messer offers a wide range of optimized gas mixtures along with comprehensive services: “Our service spectrum ranges from the detailed analysis of needs and potentials to training on how to handle gases safely. But it also includes practical assistance that facilitates day-to-day operations, such as smartphone-based order placement and shipment via urgent or special delivery,” explains Bernd Hildebrandt.

The industrial gases specialist Messer is currently working on a concept for the hybrid realization of all future Messer exhibitions in the field of welding and cutting.
