The industrial gases specialist Messer has been awarded as the “Top Sustainable Family Business”. This European prize is awarded by CampdenFB in cooperation with the French bank Société Générale to private companies which can demonstrate they comply with high social, economic and environmental standards.

On 21 June 2016 the family company Messer was honoured in Berlin by CampdenFB, a British magazine for family companies, and the French group of banks Société Générale for its exemplary sustainability and corporate responsibility. “For our future we must be more responsible in the way we deal with people, the environment and resources,” emphasises Stefan Messer, owner of the Messer Group. On the basis of measurable objectives Messer documents its enhancements and developments in environmental protection, energy consumption, safety and staff development and publishes this information in its annual corporate responsibility report.

In 2015 the concern received a total of 14 awards, among other things for safety at work, outstanding economical commitment, as the best supplier and as the employer of the year.
