It’s about more than just gases

Industrial gas specialist Messer is providing information about its methods of gas supply based on need, about potential for savings, service provision and new applications for processing of materials with lasers. The extensive range of services and wide variety of products the company is exhibiting at Schweißen & Schneiden 2017 speak for themselves.

"Optimisation of costs starts with transparency with regard to those costs. It is important to make comparisons but not to compare apples and oranges. It is the savings which matter." This is one of the key themes to which Messer’s presence at the Schweißen & Schneiden (welding and cutting) trade fair in Düsseldorf will be devoted. From the 25th till the 29th of September the largest privately run company specialising in industrial gas will be exhibiting its ternary shielding gases for welding at Hall 11, Stand 11F23 and informing the public about its new, practically oriented service provision.

The selection of the right shielding gas, the ideal volume of gas flow and the optimum combinations of parameters are central to subsequent processing, duration of welding and saving of costs for these procedures. With a choice of gas and type of gas supply based on needs, along with the optimum delivery of the gas, overall costs of production can be effectively reduced. With the help of demonstrations by its specialists, Messer is showing the varied areas of application for its products and providing information about potential savings to be made by using ternary mixtures in cylinders."It’s about more than just cylinders of gas. Instead the focus is on a new form of customer satisfaction," stressed Bernd Hildebrandt, responsible for the cutting and welding department at Messer. "We want all of our customers to have the feeling that we are just the right partner for them.

And because a feeling is made up of more than just a huge selection of different gases or even the fact that they are of the finest quality, we have now developed and implemented a range of services for our cylinder gases which is based on practical requirements." From A for analysis on site to S for service ordering and smartphones or T for training in safe use of gases, not forgetting X for "Xpress" or "Xceptional" delivery, the service range offers totally bespoke service solutions.

Furthermore, the industrial gas specialist will be demonstrating the customisation potential for gas delivery. Individual cylinders or bundles cover small gas needs, while stand tanks, on-site systems or even pipelines handle requirements for large quantities. Messer provides the ideal solution for any required quantity and the right gas for any situation: Addline for additive manufacturing of metals, Aluline for inert gas welding of aluminium-based products, Ferroline for MAG-welding of unalloyed steel, Inoxline for inert gas welding of highly alloyed materials and Lasline for laser welding, cutting and brazing.

From gas supply to hardware

Messer will be exhibiting on a stand covering some 1,000 square metres, along with affiliate Messer Cutting Systems and the laser and laser systems department of Jenoptik. For the first time, there is also a small market place with various partners of the two Messer-affiliates.
