"A gain for our Supervisory Board"

Industrial gas specialist Messer appoints Nathalie von Siemens to the Supervisory Board

The largest owner-managed industrial gas specialist, Messer, has appointed Nathalie von Siemens (41) as a member of the Supervisory Board. Her appointment means that the Supervisory Board of Messer Group GmbH now has six members. The post of Chairman has been occupied by Jürgen Heraeus since 2004. “Because of her experience in personnel development Ms von Siemens is a real gain for our Supervisory Board,” said Stefan Messer, owner and Chief Executive Officer of the Messer Group.

After completing her PhD in philosophy, Nathalie von Siemens 2005 joined a General Management Trainee Programme at Siemens AG, a company founded by her great-great-grandfather. After working in investor relations and corporate communications, she switched to corporate strategy. Most recently she was responsible for developing top talents at group level. Today Nathalie von Siemens is Managing Director and Speaker of the Board of the Siemens Stiftung.

Messer’s Supervisory Board was set up voluntarily by the stockholders of the family-owned company in 2004. In April of that year the stockholders of Messer were able to appoint Werner Breuers as a member of the Supervisory Board. Since 2007 Werner Breuers has been a member of the Board of Management of the chemicals company Lanxess.
