“-mix” becomes “-line”: the new product lines from Messer

EuroBLECH 2010 in Hanover - Industrial gases specialist Messer expands its cutting and welding product range with pure gases and establishes a new, uniform trademark concept.

Messer will showcase its new inert welding gas trademarks at the EuroBLECH trade fair In Hanover from 26 to 30 October 2010. The new product lines – called Ferroline, Aluline and Inoxline – will be used uniformly across the Group. At Stand C 43 in Hall 13, the largest privately run industrial gas specialist will provide extensive information on its range of shielding gases for welding, giving both lower-volume users and large-scale customers valuable insight into these product lines.

The Messer Group’s new naming concept

Our shielding gases for welding were previously marketed under the names Ferromix, Inoxmix and Alumix. Pure gases can now also be integrated into this product name family thanks to a change in the ISO guidelines and the newly created naming concept. The new trademarks have already been given legal protection and can be used in all the Messer Group’s markets.

Experiencing the Messer World up close

The Messer World stand will feature exhibits from the three Messer affiliates Messer Group, Messer Cutting Systems and MesserSoft as well as Jenoptik Automatisierungstechnik, a German specialist in laser material processing. Visitors will be offered expert advice as well as practical demonstrations of MAG welding of carbon steels and TIG welding of high-alloy steels.

Shielding gases for more quality, safety and efficiency

”The gas mixtures used for MAG welding feature a number of impressive properties, including very low spatter tendency and neat seams. This significantly reduces the need to rework the welds. Among other things, the gas mixtures for TIG welding facilitate high welding speeds in any welding position and reduce annealing colour,” explains Dr. Bernd Hildebrandt, Technology Manager Cutting & Welding at Messer Group. In addition, the gas producer will be showcasing the MegaLas product line, specially developed for laser welding, as well as the Oxycut and Nitrocut products for laser cutting.
